North Berwick Lifeboat station is sited on Victoria Road, North Berwick, a few hundred metres from the Harbour. The boathouse, originally built in 1860 is a prominent feature of the seafront, with its blue and white exterior. The station lies across the road, houses the shop, crew room and crew changing room. The station building was bought and refurbished in 1997.
The Boathouse
In it's lifetime the boathouse has housed eleven lifeboats and even been a cafe. Currently, the boathouse houses Blue Peter III, D-619 an IB1 inshore lifeboat (ILB). D-619 is the fifth Blue Peter Lifeboat to be stationed at North Berwick.
The boat house is open for public viewing on:
• Sunday: 10.30 am
• Wednesday: 6.30 pm
Theses times are approximate and are also the times of crew training so the boat might be at sea. Groups are welcome to the station. If you are planning a group visit please make contact via the contact page to arrange a suitable time.

The Station
Changing Room:
Downstairs is where the lifeboat crew keep their kit. It is also the changing room so is kept tidy as the crew need to suit up quickly, if there is an emergency. There is also a toilet and showering facilities for crewmembers or casualties.
Crew Room:
Upstairs is the crew room, the main area for the lifeboat crew. Here the crew are briefed and debriefed about training and rescues. There is also a computer and radio to co-ordinate rescues and a chart table. The crew meet here before and after training and there is a kitchen area so that they can refuel themselves with tea and coffee.
The Shop
North Berwick Lifeboat Funding branch run a shop in the summer months selling RNLI souvenirs and other seaside goodies.
